Are you striving to put life back into your marriage? Are you exhausted from trying to make things better? Do you wonder if there’s ever going to be any change?
There is relief in sight, but you must let go to find it.
Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still (cease striving/let go) and know that I am God.” Put single minded trust in Him and let go.
How do you do that? Well, to truly let go, you must first bring your mind and heart – your thoughts and emotions – into alignment. To do that ask yourself:
What do I want?
Why do I want it?
How do I want to feel?
If your mind wants something and your heart doesn’t really believe it’s possible, you cannot release it to God because you are not in agreement with yourself.
Once you let go and give your desire to God, you are free to love and give. You don’t have to know the “how” of healing your relationship, you just need to stop struggling and align your thoughts and feelings. God’s got this! The how will come to you.
When I released my husband to God and just loved him, the how came as I needed it.
And that is my prayer for you!
Blessings,
Miriam
